Singing Songs!

Last Sunday, Lucas was invited along with all the preschool and daycare children from Prince of Peace to sing at their late service.  The children learned 4 different songs and sat up in the front until the sermon began.  Lucas kept telling us at home that morning that he wasn't going to be doing this, in fact he took his shoes off to try and stay home.  He got up there and sang his songs!  He was so proud of himself as were we!  What a wonderful blessing from God!

Cubby Bear!

While I am a Cubs fan, this post has nothing to do with the baseball team an everything to do with kindergarten. Every kindergartner gets to bring home Cubby Bear once during the school year and this weekend was Emma's turn. To say that she was excited would be a huge understatement. We all enjoyed havig Cubby Bear this weekend. Here's some pics from the fun we had!

Cubby skyped with Grandma in Little Rock Friday night.

Cubby brushed his teeth before bed!

Cubby went to art class on Saturday morning.

Cubby went to a special lunch at Red Robin.

Cubby joined us for breakfast for dinner in our jammies while we watched a movie.

Emma danced after the movie while doing her breathing treatment.  She looks like a monkey here I think!

Cubby helped pick Emma up from Joshua's birthday party.

Super Bowl Treats!

Cubby watched the Super Bowl and even had Packers clothes in his bag to wear.

Lucas had some fun!

Emma wanted to try it out too.

This little boy wants to be  like his big sister.  I love having these moments with him!

Blizzard 2011

Well, we not only ended school early yesterday, but now today we are hanging out at home, trying to dig our way out of the house.  Never have I been snowed in my house.  We've had some amazing snow drifts that are taller than I am!  The kids begged to go outside this morning and they lasted an entire hour.  We'll see what tomorrow brings, we'll be watching the news closely.  Enjoy the pics.

 The front of our house.

Emma was making her way to the driveway and was able to stay on top of the drifts.

Here's Lucas before he left the front porch.  Tim had to come and throw him on his back and crawl out of the front walk.

There was no snow around the truck in the driveway and the drifts were up to the front window of the truck!  The ground around it was clear of snow!
This is our neighbor to the north.  His carport was blocked until the guys went out and cleared it.  I don't think that car will be leaving any time soon.

Here's what the north side of our house looks like right now.  When I'm standing on the ground, the windows reach the top of my head.  That means these drifts are over 5 feet tall, maybe even closer to 6!

Here's Emma, who is almost 4 feet tall, standing next to the drifts in the neighbors driveway.

Across the street hanging out by Berta's house.  This was the drift that she climbed and was excited that she was in the street.

A car that belongs to a Lutheran High student that got stuck.

Here's the sidewalk at the corner.

Here's the drift by the truck.

The neighbor girls climbing the drifts in the front of our house.
