Law School Graduation

Chicago's Navy Pier from our hotel room window! What a great view!
Last Sunday, my brother, Joel, graduated from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

Here he is getting his diploma.

Here he is after becoming a graduate. Now he has to pass the bar examine at the end of February! What an amazing accomplishment!

A New Year!

This new year came in with much chaos. Emma ended 2008 with the stomach flu and Lucas rang in the new year with the same. Needless to say, we did not have the most exciting or relaxing of Christmas breaks this year, but we did spend lot's of time at home with everyone.

Since then, we've been keeping busy. Tim is filling out his application for graduate school, Sarah is keeping busy with school and the kids are changing daily.

Emma's new highlights are that she is now on a small steroid twice a day through a nebulizer machine. This is to hopefully help her airways rest and give them time to repair themselves. This has also brought a new found energy as well as hunger for all the food in the house!
Also, Emma now can count to 60! She also began jumping rope in the gym the other day. With two people twirling the rope, she was able to jump 5 times in a row!

Lucas has been recovering from his 4th ear infection! Along with this, he is now crawling on all fours, climbing up onto whatever he can, and moving around the house holding onto the furniture. He's even starting trying to climb the stairs. Still his favorite place to be is undeneath things. He loves to feed himself more than ever now and is finally starting to sleep all night in his crib!

Enjoy some of the pics below.
